    • "Mullagban marriages: Rose-Anne Hannaway married Patrick Maguire/McGuire of Mayobridge (east of Newry). And then whatever happened she became a widow. Where she went I don’t know. She became a widow and come back home and was buried in Mullaghban" (audio recording of Eugene McCann in 2016).
      Rose Ann Hannaway was Patrick Maguire's fourth wife. He had two known children with his first wife Mary Higgins; the first child, Julia Maguire, was born in 1887. Patrick's second wife Elizabeth Shields bore three children but she died in 1894. Two months after her death Patrick married Elizabeth (Bessie) McClorey she reared two of Elizabeth Shields' children and also bore two children with Patrick. Elizabeth died in 1916 aged 57 years.
