    Edward (Ned) Malone & family 1911 census entry, Ballard-townland. The census shows wife Mary (née Mallon), daughter Alice and Ned's mother Bridget-aged 86, grandchilden Joseph, Mary Jane & John Doherty who were born in Boston, Massachusetts. The handwritten entry for Bridget appears to be "Mallon"; this cannot be wife Mary Mallon's mother Bridget in Clontygora, as her husband Felix Mallon is a "Widower" in 1901. Also in the 1901 census for Ned Malone, mother Bridget was entered as "Mallon" but was corrected to "Malone". © AskAboutIreland and the Cultural Heritage Project;
